Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters capable of handling up to 60HP or 80A. Each assembled motor starter includes a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) on the motor or equipment nameplate while confirming whether the motor is powered by 1-phase or 3-phase electricity, and select a starter rated for current higher than the FLA. The control power used to close the contactor must also be selected, along with an overload that accommodates the FLA of the motor. Additionally, options for incoming power configuration include direct-online starters, separate control voltage, and remote start terminals, which allow activation from an external switch. The specific model features a 12A 3-phase separate control voltage with remote start terminals, start/stop function, and a 24-60V AC/DC coil while providing an overload range of 5.7-7.6A, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
