Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your requirements, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage you will supply, ensuring to confirm whether it is 1-phase or 3-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor, and select the control power used to close the contactor. Choose the overload by selecting a current range that contains the FLA of the motor. The optional criteria for selecting a starter include incoming power, where a "direct-online starter" uses line power as control power, whereas "separate control voltage" is for different line and control voltages. For activation via an external switch, select "remote start terminals," assuming the line voltage and control voltage are the same. If different voltages are used, select "separate control voltage + remote start terminals." Key features include a 12A 3-phase direct online start/stop capability, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and an overload range of 5.7-7.6A in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
