Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters suitable for applications up to 60HP or 80A. Each assembled motor starter includes a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) on the motor or equipment nameplate for your input voltage, ensuring to confirm if it is single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of the motor and select the control power used to operate the contactor. Additionally, select the overload based on a current range that includes the FLA from the previous step. Optional criteria for selection include the type of incoming power: a "direct-online starter" if the line power serves as the control power, "separate control voltage" if they differ, and options for "remote start terminals" if activation from an external switch is required. This configuration will be labeled as "separate control voltage + remote start terminals" if different voltages are used for line and control power. The features of the product include a rating of 12A for three-phase operation, separate coil voltage, a reset button, a coil voltage range of 250-500V AC/DC, and an overload range of 7.6-10A, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
