Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) from the motor or equipment nameplate at the input voltage and confirm if it is 1-phase or 3-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current higher than the FLA, select the control power for the contactor closing, and choose the overload based on a current range that includes the FLA. Optional criteria for selection include incoming power types: "Direct-On-Line Starter" for same line and control voltage, "Separate Control Voltage" for differing voltages, and options for activating from an external switch with "Remote Start Terminals." If using different voltages for line and control power with remote start terminals, choose "Separate Control Voltage + Remote Start Terminals." This specific model features a rating of 12A, is designed for 3-phase operation, includes a separate coil voltage with remote start terminals, features a reset button only, supports a coil voltage range of 100-250V AC/DC, has an overload range of 5.7-7.6A, and is housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
