Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage, ensuring the correct selection between single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for amps higher than the FLA of the motor. The control power used to close the contactor should be determined, and the overload selected based on a current range that includes the FLA from the previous step. Optional criteria for selection include incoming power configurations such as "direct-online starter," "separate control voltage," or the inclusion of "remote start terminals" for activation from an external switch. The specific features applicable to this model are a 12A rating, compatibility with three-phase configurations, separate control voltage with remote start terminals, a reset button, a 24-60V AC/DC coil, and a 10-13A overload limit.
