Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters, accommodating up to 60HP or 80A. These assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, an overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) from the motor or equipment nameplate at the input voltage, ensuring to check if it is 1-phase or 3-phase power. Choose a starter rated for a current higher than the FLA, and select the control power for closing the contactor. The overload must be chosen from a current range that includes the motor's FLA. Furthermore, optional criteria for selection include the incoming power; options available are "direct-online starter" if line power is used for control power, "separate control voltage" if different, or configurations with "remote start terminals" for external switch activation. Specific features include a 12A 3-phase separate coil voltage with remote start terminals, a reset button, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and a 7.6-10A overload with NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
