To select the appropriate starter, it is necessary to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage from the motor or equipment nameplate, ensuring you identify whether the power supply is 1-phase or 3-phase. Choose a starter with a current rating higher than the FLA, then select the control power for closing the contactor, followed by choosing the overload with a current range that includes the FLA. The optional criteria for selection include the incoming power type: a "direct-online starter" if the line power serves as control power, "separate control voltage" when they differ, or "remote start terminals" for external switch activation. Key features of the starter include 12A 1-phase direct online start/stop functionality, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and 2.3-3.1A overload protection, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
