Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage, confirming whether it is 1-phase or 3-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor. The control power used to close the contactor should be selected, and the overload selected by choosing a current range containing the FLA of the motor. Optional criteria for selection include incoming power configuration: "direct-online starter" if line power is used as control power, "separate control voltage" if control voltage differs from line voltage, and "remote start terminals" if activation is from an external switch, assuming line and control voltages are the same. For those using different voltages for line and control power combined with remote start terminals, this is referred to as "separate control voltage + remote start terminals." Key features include 12A 3-phase separate control voltage with remote start terminals, a reset button, a coil voltage of 24-60V AC/DC, and an overload rating of 7.6-10A. The product is certified with NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
