Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your requirements, first refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the supplied input voltage, confirming whether it is 1-phase or 3-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current higher than the FLA of the motor, followed by selecting the control power used to close the contactor. The overload should be selected by choosing a current range that contains the FLA of the motor. Optional criteria include incoming power designation, where a "direct-online starter" uses line power as control power, while a "separate control voltage" means the control voltage differs from line voltage. Additionally, if the starter requires activation from an external switch, it can feature "remote start terminals," which assume the line and control voltages are the same or can be configured as "separate control voltage + remote start terminals." Key features of the motors include 12A 1-phase separate control voltage with remote start terminals, a reset button, a coil operating range of 24-60V AC/DC, and an overload range of 10-13A, all housed within a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
