Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters with a capability of handling up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, an overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To properly select the starter for your requirements, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage and confirm whether it is single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor. The control power used to close the contactor must be selected, and the overload should be chosen based on a current range that includes the motor's FLA. Optional criteria for selection include incoming power: a "direct-online starter" if the line power serves as the control power, "separate control voltage" when the control voltage differs from the line voltage, and "remote start terminals" if activation from an external switch is needed. The features of this product include 12A 1-phase remote start terminals, a reset button, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, a 3.1-4.2A overload, and a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
