Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage from the motor or equipment nameplate, confirming whether it is single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA. The control power for closing the contactor should be determined next, followed by selecting the overload based on a current range that encompasses the motor's FLA. The options include incoming power configurations such as "direct-on-line starter," "separate control voltage," or "remote start terminals" for activation from an external switch. For the specific model features, it offers 12A, 1 phase, separate coil voltage with remote start terminals, a reset button only, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and an overload relay range of 2.3-3.1A.
