Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters with capacities up to 60 hp or 80 A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, an overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, it is essential to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage provided, ensuring that the power type is identified as either single-phase or three-phase. The starter should be rated for a current higher than the motor's FLA. The control power for closing the contactor must be chosen, and the overload relay should be selected based on a current range that includes the motor's FLA. Optional criteria include the configuration of incoming power: a "direct-online starter" if line power is used as control power, "separate control voltage" if they differ, or "remote start terminals" for activation from an external switch. The starter features include a 12 A capacity, designed for one-phase operation, with a direct online setup, a reset button, a 100-250 V AC/DC coil, and a 10-13 A overload relay, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
