Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, an overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your requirements, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage you will supply, confirming whether it is single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor. The control power used to close the contactor and the overload must be selected based on the FLA from the nameplate. There are options for incoming power, including "direct-online starter" if the line power will also be the control power, "separate control voltage" if the control voltage differs from line voltage, and "remote start terminals" if activation from an external switch is required while keeping the same line and control voltage. If using different voltages for line and control power, "separate control voltage + remote start terminals" is applicable. Key features include a 12A one-phase separate control voltage reset button only, a 24-60V AC/DC coil, and an overload relay rated for 2.3-3.1A, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
