Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters designed for motors up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, one must verify the full load amperage (FLA) from the motor or equipment nameplate based on the input voltage, ensuring to identify whether the power supply is single-phase or three-phase. It is crucial to choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA. Additionally, the control power used to close the contactor should be selected, along with the overload by picking a current range that encompasses the FLA. Options include incoming power configurations such as "direct-on-line starter," "separate control voltage," or "remote start terminals." The features of the starter include a 12A one-phase direct online reset button, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and an overload rating of 4.2-5.7A with a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
