Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage from the motor or equipment nameplate, ensuring to confirm whether it is 1-phase or 3-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current higher than the FLA of the motor, and select the control power for closing the contactor. The overload should be selected based on a current range that includes the FLA. Additional selection criteria include incoming power type, which can either be a "direct-online starter" using the line power as control power or "separate control voltage" if the control voltage differs. Remote start terminals can also be included for activation from an external switch. Features include 16A 3-phase remote start terminals, start/stop functionality, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and a 4.2-5.7A overload relay, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
