Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A, which include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage, ensuring to confirm if it is single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current higher than the FLA of your motor, select the control power to close the contactor, and choose the overload by selecting a current range that encompasses the FLA. Optional criteria include selecting incoming power as a "direct-online starter" if line power also serves as control power, or "separate control voltage" for different control and line voltages. For external switch activation, "remote start terminals" can be added, or "separate control voltage + remote start terminals" for differing line and control voltages. Key features include a 16A 3 phase separate coil voltage start/stop with a 250-500V AC/DC coil and a 10-13A overload relay, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
