Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your requirements, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage you will supply, ensuring to confirm whether it is 1-phase or 3-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor. Select the control power used to close the contactor, and choose the overload by selecting a current range that contains the FLA of the motor. Optional criteria for selection include incoming power, where direct-online starters utilize line power for control, while separate control voltage options indicate different line and control voltages. For activation via an external switch, terminals for control power input are provided, referred to as remote start terminals, compatible with both same voltage and separate voltage configurations. Features include 16A 3-phase direct online start/stop capability, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and a 7.6-10A overload relay, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
