Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your requirements, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage you will supply, and confirm whether it is 1-phase or 3-phase power to the motor, choosing a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor. Choose the control power used to close the contactor, and select the overload by choosing a current range that contains the FLA of the motor. Optional criteria for selection include incoming power, where if the line power will be used as the control power as well, it is referred to as a "direct-online starter." If the control voltage is different from the line voltage, this is termed "separate control voltage." Additionally, if the starter needs to be activated from an external switch, terminals can be added to accept the control power input from that switch, referred to as "remote start terminals." The features include a 16A 3 phase separate coil voltage start/stop with a 250-500V AC/DC coil and a range of 4.2-5.7A overload.
