Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters suitable for applications up to 60HP or 80A. Each assembled motor starter includes a contactor, an overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage and confirm whether the motor operates on single-phase or three-phase power. The chosen starter must be rated for current (amps) higher than the motor's FLA. It is also important to select the control power used to close the contactor and choose the overload by selecting a current range that encompasses the motor's FLA. Optional features for selection include incoming power configurations such as "direct-online starter," "separate control voltage," or options for "remote start terminals." Key features include a rating of 16A for 3-phase systems, remote start terminals for external switch activation, a start/stop function, and a 100-250V AC/DC coil with a 10-13A overload. The product is designed with NEMA 4X polycarbonate for enhanced durability and protection.
