Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage. Confirm whether it is 1-phase or 3-phase power and choose a starter rated for current higher than the FLA of the motor. Choose the control power used to close the contactor and select the overload by picking a current range that includes the FLA. Options include incoming power configurations such as "direct-online starter," "separate control voltage," or "remote start terminals" for external switch activation. Key features of the motor starters include a 16A 3-phase separate control voltage start/stop capability with a 24-60V AC/DC coil and a 7.6-10A overload relay, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
