Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters with capabilities up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, first verify the full load amperage (FLA) from the motor's nameplate, ensuring you confirm whether the motor operates on single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter with a current rating exceeding the FLA, determine the control power used to close the contactor, and select an overload current range that encompasses the motor's FLA. The optional criteria for the starter include incoming power options such as direct-online starters where line power serves as control power, separate control voltage if the control voltage differs from the line voltage, and remote start terminals for activation from an external switch, assuming line and control voltages are the same. The starter features include a 16A rating, three-phase capability, separate coil voltage, remote start terminals, and a start/stop function, with a coil rating of 250-500V AC/DC and an overload range of 10-13A, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
