Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters suitable for motors up to 60HP or 80A. Each assembled motor starter includes a contactor, an overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) on the motor's nameplate at the input voltage and confirm if it is single-phase or three-phase. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA, select the control power for closing the contactor, and pick an overload relay that fits within the FLA range. Consider optional criteria such as incoming power types: for a "direct-online starter," the line power serves as the control power; for "separate control voltage," the control voltage differs from the line voltage. For external activation, options for "remote start terminals" are available, allowing for control input from an external switch. Certified for 16A 3 phase with a separate coil voltage reset button, the kit features a 100-250V AC/DC coil and a 10-13A overload relay, all housed within a durable NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
