Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) from the motor or equipment nameplate based on the input voltage. The starter should be rated for a current (amps) that exceeds the FLA of the motor, and the control power used for closing the contactor must be chosen accordingly. The overload should be selected based on a current range that encompasses the motor's FLA. Additional criteria include the type of incoming power, where one can choose between a "direct-online starter" with the line power used for control, "separate control voltage" if the control voltage differs from line voltage, and "remote start terminals" for external switch activation. The features of the kit include a 16A 3-phase separate coil voltage, remote start terminals, a reset button, a 250-500V AC/DC coil, and a 16-20A overload, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
