Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters with a capacity of up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter for your needs, first refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the required input voltage, ensuring to confirm whether it operates on single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor. Next, select the control power used to close the contactor and choose the overload by selecting a current range that includes the FLA of the motor. Options for selection include incoming power type, such as a "direct-online starter" if the line power is also used as control power or "separate control voltage" when the control voltage differs from the line voltage. Additional options include remote start terminals for external switch activation and configurations combining separate control voltage with remote start terminals. Key features include a 16A three-phase separate coil voltage reset button, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and a 13-16A overload relay, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
