Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters suitable for applications up to 60HP or 80A. Each assembled motor starter includes a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter for your requirements, first verify the full load amperage (FLA) of your motor from its nameplate at the input voltage you will provide, and determine if it operates on single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) that exceeds the FLA of your motor. Next, select the control power used to close the contactor and choose the overload relay based on a current range that encompasses the FLA of the motor. The kit also allows for different configurations based on optional criteria, including direct-online starter capability, separate control voltage, and remote start terminals. Key features include a 16A rating, 1-phase operation, direct online start/stop functionality, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and overload protection rated between 4.2-5.7A.
