Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60 HP or 80 A. Assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your requirements, first refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage you will supply, confirming whether it is single-phase or three-phase power to the motor. Choose a starter rated for current higher than the FLA of your motor, select the control power used to close the contactor, and choose the overload by selecting a current range that contains the FLA of the motor. The optional criteria include incoming power options such as "direct-online starter" when line power is also used as the control power, "separate control voltage" for different line and control voltages, and "remote start terminals" for activation from an external switch. The starter features a 16 A three-phase separate control voltage, a reset button, a 24-60V AC/DC coil, and a 13-16 A overload protection. The product is housed in a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure, providing durability and protection against environmental factors.
