Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters suitable for motors up to 60HP or 80A. Each assembled motor starter includes a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) from the motor or equipment nameplate at the input voltage being supplied, confirming whether it is single-phase or three-phase power. The starter should be rated for a current greater than the FLA. Choose the control power for the contactor and select the overload based on a current range that includes the FLA. The device can be configured based on incoming power, with options for direct-online, separate control voltage, or remote start terminals for external switch activation, assuming line and control voltages are the same. If using different voltages, it can be set up as separate control voltage with remote start terminals. The features of the kit include a 16A rating, 3-phase compatibility, remote start terminals, a reset button, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and a 16-20A overload relay, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
