Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage, confirming whether it is 1-phase or 3-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor, then select the control power to close the contactor and choose the overload by selecting a current range that contains the FLA of the motor. Optional criteria for selection include incoming power configurations: "Direct-On-Line Starter" for line power used as control power or "Separate Control Voltage" if the control voltage differs. Additionally, "Remote Start Terminals" can be added for activation from an external switch or can be configured as "Separate Control Voltage + Remote Start Terminals" if different voltages for line and control power are used. The starters feature 16A capacity, support 3-phase operation, include remote start terminals, come with a reset button only, operate with a 250-500V AC/DC coil, and have a 10-13A overload relay.
