Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter, first, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage. Ensure to check whether the setup involves single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current higher than the FLA, select the control power used to close the contactor, and then choose the overload based on a current range that includes the FLA of your motor. Optional criteria include incoming power configuration: "direct-online starter" if line power is used for control as well, "separate control voltage" if they differ, and inclusion of "remote start terminals" if external activation is required. The features include 16A 3-phase remote start terminals, a reset button, a coil operating range of 100-250V AC/DC, and overload protection rated at 5.7-7.6A, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
