Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter, it is essential to verify the full load amperage (FLA) from the motor or equipment nameplate at the input voltage, confirming whether the power is single-phase or three-phase. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA, select the control power for the contactor, and then choose the overload by selecting a current range that contains the FLA. Options include direct-online starter configurations, separate control voltage setups, and remote start terminals for external activation. The features of the starter include a 16A three-phase direct online reset button, with a coil rating of 250-500V AC/DC and an overload relay rated at 4.2-5.7A, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
