Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters designed for applications up to 60HP or 80A. These assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage on the motor or equipment nameplate, ensuring to note whether the power supply is 1-phase or 3-phase. The selected starter must be rated for a current higher than the FLA of the motor. Control power for the contactor must be determined, and the overload should be selected to encompass the FLA. Optional criteria include the configuration of incoming power, with options for direct-online starters, separate control voltage, and remote start terminals for external switches. The features of the starter include a 16A 1-phase separate control voltage start/stop, a coil rated for 24-60V AC/DC, and an overload relay rated for 16-20A, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
