Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters suitable for applications up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, an overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter for specific requirements, it is essential to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage from the motor or equipment nameplate and determine if the power is 1-phase or 3-phase. The starter should be rated for a current higher than the FLA. Control power used to close the contactor must also be chosen, along with selecting an overload based on a current range that encompasses the FLA. Optional criteria include the choice of incoming power: "direct-online starter" for the same line and control voltage, "separate control voltage" for different voltages, and "remote start terminals" for activation from an external switch. Additionally, the motor starter features a 16A 1-phase separate coil voltage start/stop with a 100-250V AC/DC coil and an overload range of 5.7-7.6A, all contained within a durable NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
