Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) from the motor nameplate, considering whether the motor operates on single-phase or three-phase power. The starter must have a current rating higher than the FLA. Choose the control power for the contactor closure and select an overload current range that includes the motor's FLA. Options include an incoming power configuration as a "direct-online starter" if the line power is also the control power, or "separate control voltage" if they differ. For activation from an external switch, remote start terminals can be added, where it is assumed that the line and control voltages are the same, or specified as "separate control voltage + remote start terminals" if they differ. The features of this kit include a 16A rating, single-phase operation, a separate coil voltage with remote start terminals, a start/stop function, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and an overload range of 5.7-7.6A. The enclosure is rated NEMA 4X polycarbonate, ensuring durability in various environments.
