Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your requirements, first verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage from the motor or equipment nameplate, confirming whether it is 1-phase or 3-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor, and select the control power used to close the contactor. For the overload, choose a current range that includes the FLA determined previously. Additional options include selecting incoming power configurations such as "direct-online starter" if line power is used as control power, "separate control voltage" if they differ, and options for remote start terminals for activation from an external switch. The features of the kit include 16A 1-phase remote start terminals, start/stop functionality, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and a 7.6-10A overload relay, all housed within a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
