Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters suitable for motors up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter, first verify the full load amperage (FLA) from the motor or equipment nameplate at the supplied input voltage, ensuring to confirm whether the power is single-phase or three-phase. Choose a starter rated above the FLA, select the control power needed to close the contactor, and choose an overload that includes the FLA range. Optional criteria for selection include incoming power—direct-online starter if line power is also control power, separate control voltage if different, and remote start terminals for external switch activation. Key features include a rating of 16A, one phase capability, a separate coil voltage with start/stop functionality, a coil voltage range of 100-250V AC/DC, and overload relay rated for 13-16A, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
