Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters with a capacity of up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, an overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) from the motor or equipment nameplate at the input voltage, ensuring to check if the power supply is 1-phase or 3-phase. Choose a starter rated for current higher than the FLA. Additionally, determine the control power used to close the contactor and select an overload from a current range that includes the FLA. The starter options include a "direct-online starter" if line power also serves as control power, "separate control voltage" if the control voltage differs from line voltage, and "remote start terminals" for activation from an external switch. If using different voltages for line and control power alongside remote start terminals, it is designated as "separate control voltage + remote start terminals." Key features include a 26A 3-phase separate coil voltage with remote start terminals, a start/stop capability for a 250-500V AC/DC coil, and a 24-29A overload relay, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
