Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60 HP or 80 A. Assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage, confirming whether it is single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current higher than the FLA of your motor, select the control power for the contactor, and choose the overload by selecting a current range that includes the FLA. Options for selection include incoming power as a "direct-online starter" if line power is used as control power, or "separate control voltage" if they differ. Remote start terminals can be added for activation from an external switch, assuming the line and control voltage are the same, or in the case of differing voltages, as "separate control voltage + remote start terminals." Key features include 26 A, 3 phase capability, remote start terminals, start/stop functions, 250-500 V AC/DC coil, and 13-16 A overload relay, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
