Product Details
Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters capable of handling up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, an overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, it is essential to refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage supplied, ensuring the correct specification for either 1-phase or 3-phase power. The starter should be rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of the motor. The selection process involves determining the control power used to close the contactor and choosing an overload by selecting a current range that encompasses the FLA of the motor. Additional criteria to consider include the type of incoming power, which can be either a "direct-online starter" if the line power also serves as control power, or "separate control voltage" if the control voltage differs from the line voltage. For activation via an external switch, options for control power inputs can be added, referred to as "remote start terminals," with the consideration that both line and control voltages are the same. If different voltages are used for line power and control power, the configuration would be "separate control voltage + remote start terminals." The key features of this product include a 26A 3-phase separate control voltage with remote start terminals and a start/stop 24-60V AC/DC coil, complemented by a 10-13A overload relay within a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
