Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) of the motor at the input voltage, ensuring to distinguish between single-phase and three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for a current higher than the FLA, and select the control power for the contactor. The overload must be chosen from a current range that encompasses the FLA. Optional criteria for selection include the incoming power configuration: a "direct-online starter" utilizes the line power for control, while "separate control voltage" indicates different control and line voltages. If the starter requires activation from an external switch, remote start terminals are included. The key features of the starter include a current rating of 26A, compatibility with three-phase power, a separate coil voltage with remote start terminals, a start/stop function, a coil voltage range of 100-250V AC/DC, and an overload setting of 20-24A. The product is housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
