Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters with capacities up to 60HP or 80A. These assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To ensure the appropriate starter selection, it is critical to verify the full load amperage (FLA) from the motor or equipment nameplate based on the input voltage, confirming if it is 1-phase or 3-phase power. The starter should be rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA. Additionally, the control power used to close the contactor must be chosen, along with the overload, which should encompass the motor's FLA. Optional starter features include a 16A 1-phase separate coil voltage with remote start terminals, a reset button, and a 100-250V AC/DC coil, with an overload range of 10-13A, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure. The options for incoming power include direct-online starter configuration, separate control voltage, or remote start terminals, accommodating various control and line voltage arrangements.
