Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters capable of handling up to 60HP or 80A. Each assembled motor starter includes a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, it is essential to refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to confirm the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage, ensuring accuracy in determining whether the power supply is single-phase or three-phase. The starter should be rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of the motor, and the control power required to close the contactor must be chosen alongside selecting an overload that encompasses the FLA of the motor. Optional criteria for selection include the type of incoming power, which may be classified as a "direct-online starter" for matching line and control voltage or as "separate control voltage" when the voltages differ. Additionally, starters can feature remote start terminals for activation from an external switch, which may be integrated with different voltages for line and control power. Key features of the motor starter include a rating of 26A, three-phase operation, direct online capability, a reset button, and a 100-250V AC/DC coil with a 24-29A overload, all housed within a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
