Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your requirements, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage you will supply, confirming whether it is single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor, select the control power used to close the contactor, and choose the overload by selecting a current range that contains the FLA of the motor. Optional criteria include incoming power, which can be a direct-online starter where line power is used as the control power, or a separate control voltage if the control voltage differs from the line voltage. For external activation, remote start terminals can be added to accept control power input from an external switch, assuming the line and control voltages are the same or using separate control voltage with remote start terminals if different voltages are applied. Key features include a 26A three-phase direct online reset button, 250-500V AC/DC coil, and a 10-13A overload relay, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
