Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters suitable for applications up to 60 HP or 80 A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, an overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter for your requirements, first verify the full load amperage (FLA) on the motor or equipment nameplate at the input voltage to be supplied, ensuring to confirm whether it is 1-phase or 3-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current higher than the FLA of the motor, and select the control power for closing the contactor. The overload should be selected from a current range that encompasses the FLA determined earlier. Optional criteria for selection include incoming power type, with options for "direct-online starter," "separate control voltage," and configurations such as "remote start terminals" or "separate control voltage + remote start terminals" if different voltages are used. Key features of the motor starters include a 26 A 3-phase separate coil voltage start/stop, a coil rating of 250-500 V AC/DC, and a 16-20 A overload with a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
