Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage of your motor, ensuring you determine whether it is 1-phase or 3-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current higher than the FLA of your motor and select the control power used to close the contactor. The overload must be selected from a current range that includes the FLA determined previously. Optional criteria for selection include the type of incoming power, which may either be a "direct-online starter," "separate control voltage," or incorporate "remote start terminals" for external activation. The features of the starter include 26A 3-phase remote start terminals, a reset button, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, a 13-16A overload relay, and are housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
