Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. The selection process involves verifying the full load amperage (FLA) on the motor or equipment nameplate at the input voltage you will supply, confirming whether it is single-phase or three-phase power to the motor, and choosing a starter rated for current higher than the FLA. Control power for closing the contactor must be specified, and the overload must be selected based on the current range containing the FLA from the motor. The starter can be configured as a "direct-online starter" if the line power is used as control power or as "separate control voltage" if the control voltage differs from the line voltage. Additionally, options include remote start terminals for activation from an external switch, with configurations available for "separate control voltage + remote start terminals." Key features include a 26A, three-phase setup, remote start terminals, a reset button only, a 250-500V AC/DC coil, and a 10-13A overload, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
