Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60 HP or 80 A. The assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your requirements, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage you will supply, confirming whether it is single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor, select the control power used to close the contactor, and choose the overload by selecting a current range that contains the FLA of the motor. The incoming power can be categorized as a "direct-online starter" if the line power is used as the control power, or as "separate control voltage" if the control voltage differs from the line voltage. If activation from an external switch is required, terminals for control power input can be added, allowing for configurations such as "remote start terminals" or "separate control voltage + remote start terminals" if different voltages are used. Key features include a 26 A, 1 phase direct online start/stop with a 100-250V AC/DC coil and a 20-24 A overload in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
