Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters designed for applications up to 60HP or 80A. These assembled motor starters include a contactor, an overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to determine the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage, confirming whether it is 1-phase or 3-phase power. The selected starter should be rated for a current (amps) higher than the motor's FLA. The control power type for closing the contactor must also be determined, and the overload should be chosen within a current range that includes the motor's FLA. Optional features include a 26A 3-phase separate control voltage, remote start terminals, a reset button, a 24-60V AC/DC coil, and a 10-13A overload relay. All these components are housed within the durable NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure, ensuring compliance with relevant standards in industrial environments.
