Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage from the motor or equipment nameplate, confirming whether it is 1-phase or 3-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current higher than the FLA and determine the control power used to close the contactor. Select the overload by choosing a current range that encompasses the motor's FLA. For optional criteria, identify whether the incoming power will be used as control power ("direct-online starter") or if a different control voltage will be used ("separate control voltage"). For external activation, add terminals for control power input from an external switch ("remote start terminals"), or combine both features for "separate control voltage + remote start terminals." The kit includes features such as 26A capacity, 3-phase operation, a separate coil voltage, a reset button only, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and a 16-20A overload relay, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
