Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters suitable for motors up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To properly select a starter, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage, ensuring to confirm whether it is 1-phase or 3-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current higher than the motor's FLA, select the control power for the contactor closure, and choose an overload that encompasses the FLA of the motor. Optional criteria include selecting the incoming power configuration, whether a "direct-online starter" or "separate control voltage," and determining if remote start terminals are needed for external activation. Key features of the kit include a 26A rating, 3-phase capability, a separate coil voltage with remote start terminals, a reset button only, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, a 24-29A overload, and NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure compliance.
