Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage you will supply, ensuring to confirm whether it is single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor. The control power used to close the contactor must also be selected, along with the overload, by selecting a current range that contains the FLA of the motor. The incoming power can be classified as either a "direct-online starter" if the line power is used as the control power or "separate control voltage" if the control voltage differs from the line voltage. For starters activated by an external switch, terminals for remote start must be included, and if different voltages for line and control power are used, the configuration is referred to as "separate control voltage + remote start terminals." Key features include a 26A 3 phase separate coil voltage reset button, a coil voltage range of 100-250V AC/DC, and 24-26A overload protection, all housed within a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
